Asst. Prof. Carl Michael F. Odulio of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institure (EEEI) and Asst. Prof. Julie Anne D. del Rosario of the Department of Chemical Engineering (DChE) attended the recently concluded Joint European Summer School (JESS) on Fuel Cell, Electrolyzer and Battery Technologies.
This year’s JESS was held in Amarilia Hotel, Athens Greece on September 11-15 and September 18-22. It was a 2-week series of lectures divided into introductory courses (week 1) and advanced classes (week 2). Each class was further divided into different modules. The Battery Technology module of Week 1 was attended by Asst. Prof. Odulio while the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles module was attended by both Asst. Prof. Odulio and Asst. Prof. del Rosario.
JESS 2017 offers its high quality graduate level courses on the scientific and technological aspects of fuel cells, electrolyzers and battery technologies to newcomers to the field, experienced students and young professionals. Courses are organized by European universities including Birmingham Centre for Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Research, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Technical University of Denmark, and Ulster University.
