Last December 2017, three graduate student researchers from the Laboratory of Electrochemical Engineering attended the 2017 European Fuel Cell technology and Applications Piero Lunghi Conference and Exhibition in Naples, Italy.
Jun Jeffri Lidasan delivered an oral presentation of his research entitled “Nanostructures Nickel Hydroxide as Anode Catalyst for Direct Ethanol Fuel Cells . ” The presentation is under the PEM Catalysts category. In addition, two other graduate students had their poster presentations in the conference. JM Mora presented her research entitled “Effect of Different Flow Field Pattern on PEMFC Performance” and Maricor Divinagracia presented her research “Alkaline Oxygen Evolution Reaction Performance of IrO2 Catalyst Using KOH and NaNO3 as Electrolytes.” The conference was attended by several other researchers, students, and various experts in the field.
The European Fuel Cell conference is held every two years which aims to bring together academia, research world, industry, and public sector to exchange and discuss their knowledge and experiences on all aspects of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell technologies and clean energy. Their target is to provide a clear picture of the status of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell technologies, to consolidate the vision and reframe strategies and objectives, and to promote systematic collaboration between industry, research institutions, customers, and society.
