Prof. Ocon has been awarded full member status last October 24, 2018 in Quezon City at UP Diliman National Institute of Physics. This coincided with the 2018 PAASE Meeting held at the same venue.
For one to be awarded a full membership, he must have a doctorate degree (PhD, DSc, or equivalent) in science or engineering. Full membership is attained by a four-step process: (1) Nomination by an active (dues-paying) PAASE Member; (2) Pre-election vetting by the Membership Committee; (3) Presentation at APAMS; (4) Election by 60% of all active PAASE Members.
Also an oral presentation at APAMS is a requirement to be elected to Full PAASE membership.
