The first ever Christmas dinner of the Laboratory of Electrochemical Engineering was held at Pino Resto Bar last December 11, 2015. Members of the laboratory had the feast as advanced celebration for Christmas and also for the Undergraduate Research Proposal Colloquium of the undergraduate members of the laboratory.
The laboratory head Prof. Joey Ocon and laboratory manager Asst. Prof. Julie Anne del Rosario are present at the dinner. Instructors and M.S. Chemical Engineering students Myron Alcanzare, researching on Corrosion and Oxygen Reduction Reaction, and Marlon Mopon Jr., working on Sensors, are also present. Four more graduate students working on different topics were also there: Ayechelle Aquino, M.S. Energy Engineering, Microbial Fuel Cell; James Digol, M.S. Chemical Engineering, Oxygen Reduction Reaction; Karl Gandionco, M.S. Chemical Engineering, Carbon Dioxide Reduction; Joseph Ortenero, Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, Oxygen Evolution Reaction.
Several chemical engineering undergraduate students are also invited to the dinner. The first group consists of Reynaldo Geronia II, Marc Francis Labata, and Kirby Lanz Rosales are working on Carbon Dioxide Electrocatalytic Conversion. Kristine Del Rosario, Ian Paolo Pe Benito, and Tyrone Stacy Syling are the members of the second group and are working on a Metal-Air Battery. These first two groups are advised by Prof. Joey Ocon.
Another group is made up of Christian Conopio, Marwin Crispino, and Jastin Mae Villanueva. They are working on Electrochemical Reduction of Carbon Dioxide. The members of the last group are Patrick Ryan Cruz, Alden Jon Espineli, and Ron Andrei Soriano and are working on Ethanol Sensor. The last two groups are advised by Asst. Prof. Julie Anne del Rosario.
