V.I.R.A.L. Strategy

As the laboratory grows, LEE is becoming a dedicated incubator of new ideas that increasingly blur the lines between the chemical and electrical engineering worlds. LEE focuses on the research and development of novel materials and systems for more efficient electrochemical technologies in energy, health, and environmental applications. Hence, the scientists and engineers working in LEE are adept in chemical engineering, material science, electrochemistry, and catalysis.

The R&D activities in the lab follows the V.I.R.A.L strategy, Vertically-Integrated Research Approach in LEE, which combines theory (DFT, KMC, Multi-physics, Energy Systems Modelling) and experiments to study electrochemistry and catalysis from the atomic and molecular level to grid-scale systems.
